Verindi Vekemans is a design researcher and PhD candidate at TU Delft exploring the emerging field of self-healing living materials. Her research investigates how these materials are made, how their healing processes can be expressed and experienced, and how they might be designed for meaningful use in everyday life. Combining material experimentation with design research, she develops tools for biodesigners and explores potential applications that connect living material behavior with human values, care, and aesthetics.
